Former Kamo Workshop
The business first formed as Henwood Electrical in March 1974 and then reformed as Henwood Electrical Ltd in 1991.
Henwood Electrical continues today with Director/Owner Darryl McGrath. Darryl completed his apprenticeship with Ian Bradley Electrical and after his big OE adventure returned to work for Bob Henwood – then owner of Henwood Electrical Ltd.
2003 saw a move from the Kamo base of operations to the Whangarei Port area to provide quicker, better service and make us more easily accessible for our Industrial customers.
Darryl himself remains Registered and hands on – he will often be found in overalls working alongside staff or independently.
Currently Henwood’s employ six staff members including four Registered Electricians, one Electrical Technician and one Office Administrator.

Many original customers and their family’s have remained loyal to the company over the years. A testament to the high standard of service our customers have and will continue to enjoy over the years.
