History of Company
Business first formed as Henwood Electrical in March 1974 and then reformed as Henwood Electrical Ltd in 1991.
The two young lads Gary Scott and Darryl McGrath who were both working for Henwood’s at the time, bought the business from owner Bob Henwood and continued to establish themselves in the Industrial & Telemetry areas of the business.
2002 saw a move from the Kamo base of operations to the Whangarei Port area in Hewlett Street to allow them to better provide a quicker service and make them more easily accessible for their Industrial customers
Henwood Electrical Ltd continues today with Darryl McGrath. The McGrath family have been local residents of the Kamo area for many years.
Henwood Electrical Ltd currently employs a staff of seven, this includes Five Registered Electricians, one Electrical Service Technician and one Admin staff.
Darryl himself also remains Registered and hands on and can be often found in overalls working alone or alongside staff.
Many original customers and their family’s have remained loyal to the company over the years and we thank them for that…..
